Dr Julia Bradbury officially opens Harton Quays Park

November 1, 2013

julia-5[1]A South Tyneside Park, which was soft landscaped by Sustain Landscapes Ltd, was officially opened on 26th November by Dr Julia Bradbury. The television presenter said “I think it’s absolutely fantastic and very exciting that South Shields has concentrated on creating a green space in the middle of all this redevelopment. Everybody now knows that green spaces are vital to us as human beings – they’re good for our mental wellbeing, they’re good for our state of mind and they’re good for our health. I’m thrilled, and I think it looks stunning.”

The Park, which will be maintained by Sustain Landscapes for 5 years, is proving to be popular both with visitors arriving on the Shields ferry and as a green space for enjoyment by the local community.
