Remaking Beamish

March 22, 2023

Sustain Landscapes were pleased to be back at Beamish to help out on the museum’s biggest development in its history. Remaking Beamish is the latest project at the Living Museum of the North which comprises the recreation of a 1950’s town and farm.

Kick started with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund the town will include a cinema, toy shop, cafe and fish and chip shop as well as 1950’s housing. Sustain Landscapes have recently been involved with the preparation and turfing of the bowling green which along with pavilion will shortly be open to the public.

Why not pay the new area a visit this summer or visit the blog for more information. www.beamish.org.uk/remaking/about-remaking-beamish/
