Sustain Landscapes have commenced work on a £2.3 Million water front Park in South Shields. The park is the first phase of South Tyneside Council’s Riverside Regeneration Strategy and is designed with the aim of providing additional amenity to the area, a cultural focus and spaces for events.
Sustain Landscapes will implement the high specification soft landscaping package which will include structural grass and floral mixes to provide a barcode of colour, as well as a dramatic pine grove viewing point. Lawned areas will frame key views across the estuary and park, as well as providing spectator areas for events spaces. The park, which has recently received a CEEQUAL Award for Sustainability, will be maintained by Sustain Landscapes for five years following the completion of construction works.
