The Fells MUGA, Chester-le-Street

Contract Value: £35,499

Homeless charity The Cyrenians contracted Sustain Landscapes to construct a Multi-Use Games Area at their property in Chester-Le-Street.  The MUGA will form part of the homeless charity’s work in providing a holistic approach to tackling the needs of vulnerable and socially disadvantaged people.

The games area was fenced to 3M high with a roof netting system and floodlit with 6 lighting columns, it was marked out for playing both football and tennis.

In detail the works comprised:

  • Site clearance and levelling
  • Installation of drainage
  • Laying of kerb edgings
  • Laying of geotextile
  • Hardcore sub-base
  • Laying of porous macadam
  • Fence Installation
  • Lighting Installation
  • Grass seeding
