Durham County Council Headquarters

May 24, 2021

Sustain Landscapes have commenced their landscaping contract at the new Durham County Council Headquarters at Freeman’s Place with the installation of GreenBlue Urban Rootspace Systems across the new civic square and main approach.

The system which underlies the paved areas will enable the growth of tree roots within a nutrient rich, aerated and well-drained soil environment whist preventing compaction from above ground loads.

Returning later in the year, once paving is completed, trees species including birch, lime, elm, hazel and alder will be planted.
